About Me

Before attending the University of Wisconsin. I played with the Eagle River Girls team until I was a freshman in High school. I helped them win two championships and then transfered to the Northland Pines Boys team. Playing with the boys helped me improve my game while still playingwith the Madison Capitols before and after my season.

My first year at Wisconsin I was named to the WCHA all-rookie team and ranked 21st among the nation's rookies in points per game. Sophomore year I scored the first and third goals in the national championship game (3/26), fourth in team scoring with 37 points (24 goals, 13 assists), led the team in goals, had eight game-winning goals, and 10 power-play goals.  In my Junior year I was named to the Frozen Four All-Tournament Team, second-team All-WCHA, lead my team in goals with 29 and is third on the team with 50 points, tallied 10 power-play goals and two shorthanded goals, notched eight game-winning goals, including goal in 4 OT vs. Harvard, six of my eight game-winning goals came against ranked opponents, ranked second in the NCAA in game-winning goals, and stand sixth in the nation in goals.

I played for Team USA at the 2006 Four Nations Cup, in 2007 at the World Championships, and represented U.S. in three-game U-22 series between U.S. and Canada. The fall of 2007, then I joined the US team to Four Nations to place second. In my final season I broke some UW career records for goals (87), power-play goals (29), game-winning goals (22), games played (158), appeared in all 39 games for the Badgers this season, and runner up for another National Championship title game. I then had shoulder surgery and after graduating from Madison, I moved to Minnesota to train with the US National team. After getting married I then trained all summer for the Olympic tryouts in August 09. I made the US National Team and started traveling and playing while living in Minnesota. Then in December 09 I officially made the 2010 Olympic team and headed to Vancouver to help claim a silver medal. Currently I am the Head coach for Arrowhead Girls Hockey team and also U14 Winter Club. Arrowhead girls claimed their first ever Conference Championship this past season.
